Chemical pallets: Overview of the most important CP types
The various chemical pallets differ mainly in their dimensions, which are crucial for optimizing container and truck space. They are all based on the VCI/APME construction standard.
- CP1 pallet: This pallet has the CP1 pallet dimensions of 1,000 x 1,200 mm.
- CP2 pallet: The dimensions of the CP2 pallet are 800 x 1,200 mm.
- CP3 pallet: The CP3 pallet has square dimensions of 1,140 x 1,140 mm.
- CP5 pallet: With dimensions of 760 x 1,140 mm, the CP5 pallet has a handy rectangular format that was specifically developed for the optimal loading of sea containers.
- CP9 pallet: This pallet measures 1,140 x 1,140 mm and offers a superior high load capacity.
Advantages of the CP pallet: Flexibility in handling
A key feature of most CP pallets (as well as Euro pallets) is their four-way design. This means that they can be picked up from all four sides with forklifts or pallet trucks. This high degree of flexibility facilitates handling and is particularly advantageous in large logistics centers or high-bay warehouses.
