The right Euro pallet: from new goods to C-grade

As one of the leading suppliers of pallets in the region, we offer you the right Euro pallet quality for every requirement: new goods, 1st choice, 2nd choice, and C-grade goods (see below for more details!).

As a member of the German Federal Association for Wooden Packaging, Pallets, and Export Packaging (HPE), we work according to the strictest quality guidelines.

Heat-treated Euro pallets for export

For export, our pallets are of course delivered in accordance with EPAL regulation IPPC/ISPM 15. This includes the necessary heat treatment (HT), which ensures that the pallets are pest-free and approved for worldwide shipping.

Pallet collars: a strong addition to our Euro pallets

Thanks to their standardized dimensions, EPAL pallets can be flexibly expanded—for example, with matching stacking frames that allow your goods to be stacked securely while also protecting them from damage.

Background information on Euro pallets

The standardization of Euro pallets (less commonly known as Europool pallets) is based on EN 13698-1. Euro pallet dimensions are strictly defined: 1200 mm length × 800 mm width × 144 mm height. This standardized size ensures that the pallets fit optimally into warehouse racking systems and means of transport such as swap bodies or semi-trailers.
Euro pallets are designed as four-way pallets. This means that they can be picked up and moved from all four sides using industrial trucks such as forklifts or pallet trucks, which greatly simplifies handling and flexibility in logistics.

Load capacity and standards: What weight can a Euro pallet carry?

The sturdy wooden pallets are made of high-quality wood and are held together by 11 boards and 9 blocks. They are designed for high load capacity: the guaranteed nominal load is 1,500 kg with even distribution and a point load of 1,000 kg. This stability makes them ideal for transporting and storing heavy and valuable goods.

Euro pallets: four quality classes at a glance

In the pallet exchange system, clear differences in quality are relevant, as they determine the intended use. We offer all of the qualities listed below.

  • New: The pallet comes as new goods directly from the manufacturer. Our pallets are top quality "Made in Germany" and are quality-checked by us. New Euro pallets have no signs of wear, light-colored wood, and are ideal for particularly sensitive goods, such as in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Class A (as good as new/first choice): These pallets have already been used, but are predominantly light in color and show only slight signs of wear. They must not show any contamination. They are usually machine-compatible and suitable for high-bay storage.
  • Class B (used/second choice): These pallets are usually predominantly dark and show more signs of wear, but must still be clean and exchangeable.
  • Class C: These pallets are mostly dark and show heavy signs of wear, such as slight, tolerable block twists (≤ 1 cm). Adhesions (cardboard, foil) are also permissible, but removal may allow for a higher classification.
