The company Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH

Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH, or Roeren HDL for short, is backed by the experience and tradition of a family business founded in 1876. Roeren HDL was established in 1996 as an independent subsidiary of Holz Roeren GmbH in Krefeld. 

Customer needs lead to founding

At that time, many industrial companies in Krefeld were undergoing change: they were reducing their own workshops and looking for external service providers for processing. For this reason, long-standing customers asked Holz Roeren GmbH not only to supply wood, but also to provide processed wood products. Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH was founded to meet this demand. 

Pallet production quickly requires new space

The first location was originally at Mevissenstraße 62 in Krefeld, where a hall belonging to Holz Roeren GmbH was cleared and pallet production began even before the company was officially founded. 

Once the space there was exhausted, production was initially expanded on the premises of Holz Roeren GmbH. However, when capacity there also became insufficient, Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH was officially founded at the end of 1996.

After several moves, the company moved to its current location.

The company then moved to a short-term location at an industrial customer's premises, where pallets were produced in a rented hall. When capacity there also became insufficient, the decision was made to purchase a larger site on Hülserstraße in Krefeld. There, pallet production was expanded and supplemented by the manufacture of crates. 

In 2006, however, the company gave up this location and moved across the street from Holz Roeren Großhandel to Mevissenstraße 64. Since then, Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH has been manufacturing there.
 

Roeren HDL scores with its wide range of services for trade, commerce, industry, and manufacturing. An important pillar of the business is the pallets & crates division—custom-made one-way pallets, Transport crates, and many other logistics solutions. 

Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH is also a partner to the skilled trades. The company's own industrial carpentry workshop, its second pillar, is capable of handling all production phases, from individual furniture parts and other preparatory work to complete custom-made cabinets: a strong service for carpenters ( ) to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. In addition to disposable pallets, the company also deals in Euro pallets and Wire mesh boxes. 
 

Expansion of services: from panel cutting to milled special parts

Since around 2002, Roeren Holzdienstleistungs GmbH has been cutting panels, manufacturing transport aids and special constructions, milling special parts for mechanical engineering, and carrying out various other woodworking tasks.

Growing with our customers – moving forward together

Since then, we have continuously expanded our industrial carpentry division. As a partner to industry and trade, we have adapted to customer requirements. We have grown together with our customers and continuously expanded our processing portfolio – for example, in addition to furniture parts, we have also been able to offer finished cabinets to our trade customers for a few years now.
